Ratamo Printmaking center has offered a one month residency since 2010.

In 2018 began a new 3 month residency which is organised with The Centre for Creative Photography every second year for printmakers and every second year for photographers.

Ratamo residency program offers for printmakers free working at the printshop (except plates, papers and special materials), a grant of  300 euros for living and material costs, a vivid local artists community and free accommodation at a guest room in the city.

Arriving

The Printmaking and Photography Centre Ratamo is situated in the Veturitalli (former roundhouse) complex near the train station. A pedestrian and bicycle path runs between the Shell Veturi gas station and the roundhouse.

When arriving by car, Ratamo is accessible from Heikinkatu (follow the guide signs to Matkakeskus Parking / Pysäköintitalo). See the map.

Galleria Ratamo's exhibitions showcase contemporary Finnish and international printmaking and photography.

The exhibition programme is chosen by Jyväskylä Art Museum and the Centre for Creative Photography. Both organize 5-6 exhibitions per year respectively.
