The City of Jyväskylä organises a wide range of leisure activities for children, young people and families with children in different parts of the city.

The first spring application period for foreign-language programs at higher education institutions began on January 7, 2026, and ends on January 21 at 3:00 p.m. Finnish time (UTC+2). In Jyväskylä, there are several international programs available at both the university and the university of applied sciences. A total of 960 places are available.
