The general principles for grants aim to increase the transparency of the city's grant activities and ensure a uniform approach to the processing of grants awarded by the different city departments.

A key element in the awarding of grants is that the activities to be supported must contribute to the city's strategy, support or complement the services provided by the city and the well-being of the citizens and/or the vitality of the city.

The effectiveness of the activities is assessed on the basis of criteria defined for each grant.

The City Board has approved the general principles of the City of Jyväskylä's grant activities as of 1 January 2023.

More detailed information on the grant criteria, application instructions and exact application deadlines can be found in the grant-specific section.

SUOMI.FI E-AUTHORIZATION

When applying for a grant on behalf of an association, company or community, the grant applicant must have the Suomi.fi e-Authorisation granted for "Submitting a grant application". The authorisation is an electronic power of attorney, the details of which are entered in the authorisation register. General powers of attorney such as the right to sign a name are also sufficient.

It is advisable to check and, if necessary, apply for the authorisation in good time before submitting the grant application. An authorisation is only valid once the authorising officer has accepted it.
