Jyväskylä's early childhood education club, family society, family cafes, and family parks are opened by the early childhood education for children aged 2-5.

The youth package operates in areas where there are no youth facilities.

HarrastusLaturi (Hobbies for children and youth!) gathers free and low-threshold hobbies for different ages.

The Adult Education Centre organizes basic art training for children and youth, as well as hobby groups and courses for adults. The Adult education centre courses are subject to a fee.

There are opportunities for urban farming, for example, in the 425 allotments in the city and Sulkuranta's allotment gardens.

Culture club Siperia leads youth theater groups for 13-28-year-olds and young adults.

The city of Jyväskylä has many sports facilities that the residents can use freely or by reservation. The calendar for reserving sports places is available at www.etimmi.jyvaskyla.fi.

In addition, the city has areas and routes for outdoor activities and recreational use, which are free to use. In some places, there might be a service that needs a separate reservation, such as a sauna or a cabin.

The adult groups of the sports services focus on suitable activities and exercise for seniors.

At LiikuntaVeturi, hobby groups of different kinds are available for families, 9-12-year-old and children around primary school age who need special support

At LiikuntaLaturi fhobby groups are available for 13-19-year-old.

Participating in the groups does not require previous sports background.

Taideapteekki (Art Pharmacy)  offers a variety of cultural events in Jyväskylä that are especially tailored for elderly audiences.

The community centres such as Huhtasuo, Kortteli Club in the city centre, and Piippuranna club in Kangas are open meeting places for people of all ages. A variety of volunteers, organisations, associations and partners are welcome to organise open and free activities at these local centres.

The Multicultural Center Gloria organizes hobby groups for people aged 15–29 on different subjects and genres. Gloria also has culture, sports, and creative activities open to everyone.

In Jyväskylä's youth council, young people from Jyväskylä between the ages of 13 and 20 get to influence matters that concern them. Representatives of the youth council are chosen from Jyväskylä secondary schools, secondary education institutions, youth centers, and vacant positions. 

Applied exercise targets people who find it difficult to participate in generally available exercise due to injury, illness, or another functional decline, and whose exercise management requires an application and special skills.

Sports services have applied exercise groups for different ages.

The providers' list of art hobbies includes basic art education organized by operators.

Lasten Lysti includes cultural events and performances for children and the whole family. The program includes films, theater, dance, music, exhibitions and a wide range of other events.

Lomalokki gathers activities that target children and young people (under 30) for school holidays, such as Autumn Holiday in September, Winter Holiday in February, and Summer Holiday in April.

In addition to the activities organized by the city's units, Lomalokki offers, for example, camps, excursions, activity days, and other fun activities organized by associations and parishes.

The Lomalokki's activity lists are mainly in Finnish, but some options may also be in English.
