Services for job seekers

International House Jyväskylä supports immigrants and new residents of Jyväskylä in various life situations. We support you in integration, everyday matters, finding a job and connecting with employers. You can get guidance and counseling in several languages on matters such as housing, education, working life and questions about dealing with authorities. We also organize events to promote connections between employers and job seekers.

Experts of International House Jyväskylä supports the integration of immigrants living in Jyväskylä and those planning to move to Jyväskylä. The service languages are Finnish, English, Arabic, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, French, Persian, Dari, Russian and Thai. You will receive guidance and counselling in your own language on the following topics:

• residence permits
• Finnish language studies
• housing
• childcare
• education and training
• health care
• help with filling in forms and understanding the decisions and procedures of different authorities

The service is confidential and free of charge for everyone. To book an appointment with a counsellor who speaks your language, call 040 027 5163 on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm. You can also book an appointment by visiting the International House Jyväskylä office. You can also visit without an appointment on weekdays from 12 to 2 pm.
