Electronic grant system
You must identify yourself as a private person through the Suomi.fi identification service either through your online banking user identifiers, your mobile certificate or a certificate card.
Note! As a private person, you are eligible only for the personal cultural project grant.

This page is a summary of information about the various grants the City of Jyväskylä may offer. More specific information about application criteria, application instructions and exact application periods may be found at the respective administrative branch’s own grant pages.
Elevator and accessibility grants
Apply at any time. This grant may be awarded to a residential building organized as a limited liability housing company for the construction of a block of flats lift, or else the removal of a structural impediment to enable a person with reduced mobility to access the residential building and its apartments and communal spaces from the outside. The grants will be awarded, subject to available funds, after ARA (the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland) has approved the project’s budget and awarded it a state lift subsidy or accessibility subsidy. Civic activity grants
Application period was open until 31 January. These grants may be awarded to subsidize resident and community activities by associations and organizations, other civic activities and multicultural activities. More information: civic activity grants (in Finnish).
Apply at any time. From the beginning of 2017 onwards all state renovation subsidies will be awarded by ARA (the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland). These grants may be awarded for the renovation of the dwellings of elderly and disabled person, as well as to housing companies to construct lifts and improve accessibility. Application period was open until 31 January. These grants may be awarded for cultural organizations to pursue their activities, to organizations and private persons to produce cultural services, and to subsidize rents for working and business spaces. More information: cultural grants (in Finnish)
Application period was open until 31 January. These grants may be awarded for sporting associations and adaptive sport organizations to pursue their core activities, as well as for projects intended to result in sporting activities or services. More information: sporting grants (in Finnish).
Application period was open until 31 January. These grants may be awarded for such youth activities by youth associations, ad hoc groups and organizations as to encourage and enable youth independence, communal responsibility, healthy lifestyles and respect for life and the environment. Social and health service grants
Application period is 7.1.-27.3.2020. The social and health services may award grants to open health care and social services organizations, family preventive social and health care services organizations as well as senior citizens’ services organizations. Employment services grants
Application period was open until 31 January. These grants may be awarded to associations and foundations fundamentally engaged in labour market promotion. More information: employment services grants (in Finnish).
Private road grants
The application period for private road grants has begun on 16 March 2020. For road associations that have been awarded a road grant in previous years, the grant may be renewed simply by delivering a copy of the minutes of a road association meeting held in 2020 to the City of Jyväskylä by 4 January 2021. For new road associations, the application period for the grant has ended on 30 October 2020. The grants will be paid out starting in March 2020.
