Numerous studies show that art enhances the quality of life and provides overall wellbeing.  In the new Nova Hospital in Jyväskylä art is integrated into the building’s architecture on the theme of Central Finland’s National parks.

The Nova Hospital’s art coordinator Teija Isohauta has curated a selection of originals from the hospital artwork for the exhibition. The exhibition features also lightning prototypes by designer Petri Vainio and textile designs for the hospital by designer Emma Hagman. Featured in the exhibition is also Pascal; an interactive installation realized in a joint workshop with patients and staff of the youth psychiatric unit as part of the hospital’s participatory art program.
