Activities
Jyväskylä Art Museum nurtures the cultural heritage of visual arts in Central Finland, producing and transmitting experiences and knowledge of visual culture in interaction with its community. In addition, the museum creates and develops new forms and models of activity.
Events and workshops are included in the entrance fee unless otherwise stated.

Open Art Workshop April 17 2–5 pm
Create, paint, and draw! Come and paint or draw together with a friend, your family, or grandparents. A peer instructor will be present. No registration required.

City of Light Festival
Free admission on Friday or Saturday.

Artists' Christmas Bazaar 12.–13.12. 11 am – 6 pm
Come and get into the Christmas spirit and relax in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Products by artists from Central Finland for sale. Cafe. Free admission.

Friday Art Talks
The pan of the cultural guides is still bubbling away in the lobby of the art museum. Join us for a cup of coffee or take a cultural guide with you to the exhibitions! You can book a cultural guide in advance and the visit is free of charge for less than 5 people. You can also take part in a discussion guide free of charge. The guided tours are about 20 minutes long and focus on one work at a time.

Work and Artist presentations
The Work and Artist presentations feature interviews with artists and experts selected by the Art Museum volunteers. Finally, coffee will be served from 15:00. An artwork related to each event will also be on display in the lobby. Selected Fridays from 14–15.
