Jälkkäri – after-school activity for school goers

Jälkkäri is a guided and versatile morning and afternoon activity in  Jyväskylä. Jälkkäri is open to pupils in grades 1 and 2 as well as pupils in grades 3–5, who have received a decision on special support. Morning and afternoon activities are organised for more than 4 hours on weekdays, mainly between 12.00–16.30. 

Jälkkäri is a guided activity and there is also time for play. The activities are guided by an annually confirmed theme. In Jälkkäri, children are encouraged to exercise independently. Outdoor activities and movement are offered for at least an hour each day of activity. All activities are supervised and supported by an adult.
