At-home voting

Voters may vote at their home place if their ability to move and act is limited; in other words, they cannot get to the voting or polling place without difficulties on election day.

To vote at home, you must register with the Central Election Commission no later than 21 March 2023 at 4 p.m. Tel. 050 453 0221

Early voting abroad

The general advance polling stations abroad are listed separately for each country, along with their contact information, opening days and hours. Any person entitled to vote may do so at a Finnish mission abroad.

How to vote on election day

On election day, 2 April 2023, polling stations are open from 9.00 to 20.00.

Check the polling card to find out where your polling station is. On election day, you can only vote at the polling station mentioned on your polling card. The voting place is determined by the municipality and the address is on the population information system on 10 February 2023.

It is recommended to check the number and polling place of your voting area on the notice card, because the same building may have a polling station of several voting areas.

When you go to the polling station, take some form of official photo ID with you, for example your passport, ID card or driving licence.
