The Tourujoki restoration project is a resource-wise initiative that combines nature-based solutions, optimized material use, and accurate emission monitoring. By utilizing recycled materials, reducing environmental load, and supporting rich aquatic biodiversity, the project sets a benchmark for sustainable river restoration.

At its meeting on Tuesday, 18 November, the Building and Environment Committee will discuss, among other things, the presentation of the draft building regulations of the City of Jyväskylä, which will be reformed. The content of the Building Ordinance will be updated to meet the requirements of the new Building Act.

The City of Jyväskylä has drawn up a nature conservation programme for the areas owned by the city, which is the first nature conservation programme in Jyväskylä. The work is a continuation of the previously completed network of protected areas, for which the sites to be protected have been selected. The nature conservation programme defines how these areas are to be protected. In addition, the city sets ambitious goals for habitat restoration and nature management. Feedback on the draft programme can be given from 27 October to 30 November 2025.

Jyväskylä Games Week will be held between November 1 and November 9 in various locations around Jyväskylä. Games Week is a national theme week dedicated to game education and game culture, held annually in November.

The lower part of Asemakatu and the Asema-aukio area will be renovated in the next few years. In the change plan for Asema-aukio and Asemakatu, the current market square will be moved to Asema-aukio, and the lower part of Asemakatu will be transformed into part of the city centre's pedestrian street network. At the same time, the entire Asema-aukio area will be transformed into a more pleasant entity that supports recreation, events and market sales.
