Entrepreneurial trial

It is important that you contact your personal coach before becoming an entrepreneur. You can jointly assess whether an entrepreneurial trial would be a good option for you. You may have the opportunity to try out being an entrepreneur and at the same time receive unemployment benefit for the first four months.

If you want to receive unemployment benefit, you must apply and be ready to accept full-time employment.

The amount of your unemployment benefit depends on how much money you get from your company.
After four months, the City of Jyväskylä employment services and the local government trial on employment will assess whether your business activities are full-time or secondary.

If it is assessed that the business activity is secondary, you will receive unemployment benefit.
If the business is a full-time activity, you can no longer receive unemployment benefit.

You can apply for start-up money during the entrepreneurial trial if you want to become a full-time entrepreneur.
