In Jyväskylä's daycare centres, the child is logged in and out with an identification tag
On 4 August 2025, municipal daycare centres in Jyväskylä have returned to the practice of registering and exiting children with an identification tag. The identification tag is clicked on the employee's phone at the daycare centre.
The introduction of tag tags increases the general safety of children. When a guardian brings and picks up the child on the phone of the daycare centre employee, the staff has up-to-date information about all the children brought to the scene and picked up. At the same time, the child's care times are also recorded in the system in real time. If the child is brought or picked up by a substitute applicant named in the child's information, the child is logged in and out manually via the employee's phone.
