As a job seeker, you could complete a basic, vocational or specialist qualification as labour market training at the sectors with the greatest need for employees. During labour market training, you are entitled to the same unemployment security as when you are unemployed. If you have agreed to labour market training in your employment plan your unemployment security can be increased. You may also apply for an expense allowance for the duration of the labour market training.
As an unemployed person, you may be able to study independently or for a short period if you are over 25. You can also study part-time. If you are planning to study, contact your personal coach. If you are under 25 and without vocational training, you must apply for at least two opportunities for education leading to a degree that will start in the following autumn to receive unemployment security.
