The City of Jyväskylä reminds visitors that felling of trees, cutting of branches, and collecting deadwood from the ground in the Haukanniemi nature reserve is prohibited under the protection decision issued on 23 January 2018.

Jyväskylän kaupungin ja Suomen Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy:n välinen vesiliikuntakeskus AaltoAlvarin pysäköintikannen ja parkkihallin käyttöä koskeva vuokrasopimus päättyy 30.6.2025. Näin ollen AaltoAlvarin asfaltoidun pysäköintikannen ja parkkihallin kolmen tunnin maksuttomat pysäköintipaikat eivät ole uimahallin asiakkaiden käytössä 1.7.2025 alkaen.

The Mayor of Jyväskylä, Timo Koivisto, and the Director of Economic and Employment Services, Ari Tolonen, visit Jyväskylä-based companies weekly to hear how they are doing and what wishes they have for the city. The winners of this year’s International Venture Academy have been announced! Out of nine selected companies, EOD from Finland and Coeur-net from France were chosen as the 2025 winners. Held in Jyväskylä, the International Venture Academy (IVA) is an intensive program where startup and scaleup companies sharpen their skills in securing funding from international investors.

Nine startup companies will gather at Yritystehdas in Jyväskylä this May to sharpen their skills in securing funding from international investors. To support them, three experienced international angel investors will be on site to provide feedback on their business ideas and how they present them. Among the participating companies are four from Jyväskylä, working in areas ranging from shipbuilding to primary food production.

Jyväskylä is taking concrete steps toward launching hydrogen-powered public transport, as five hydrogen buses acquired by the Central Finland Mobility Foundation (Cefmof) are set to arrive in Finland at the beginning of June.
