If you don't know where to start, start at Ohjaamo!

The One-Stop Guidance Center Ohjaamo offers information and guidance to people under 30 on matters such as employment, education, housing, finances, hobbies and free time activities, well-being, and other everyday topics.

No matter if you are a job seeker, employed, a student or a stay-home parent, you can come to Ohjaamo! If we don't have the answers or services you need for your specific situation, we'll figure them out together. You can find us at Nuorten talo, Asemakatu 4.

How to use Ohjaamo services

Visit us without an appointment from monday to Friday between 12 noon and 4 pm. Possible exceptions are listed in the opening hours section.
Our walk-in service is part of Nuorten talo’s walk-in service.

You can get guidance and advice from us in Finnish and English. On Tuesday afternoons, guidance is also available in Russian. Interpreter services are not available through Ohjaamo.

Guidance and advice at Ohjaamo is always free, confidential, and voluntary. You can also visit anonymously. You can come alone or together with a friend, relative, or other counselor.

Who works at Ohjaamo? 

Ohjaamo is a multi-professional service, meaning staff come from various fields. In Jyväskylä, Ohjaamo has youth councelors, study counselors, employment coaches, social worker and housing advisors.

We also have daily remote access to a Kela representative, which can be used when visiting in person.

What is Nuorten talo?

Youth multiservice center Nuorten talo brings together services for people under 30 from the City of Jyväskylä and the Wellbeing Services County of Central Finland.

The Nuorten talo consists of Ohjaamo Jyväskylä, outreach youth work, and Jyväskylä’s youth mental health and substance abuse team services. Nuorten talo is coordinated by the City of Jyväskylä’s youth services.
