Galleria Ratamo organizes exhibitions for printmaking, drawing and photography based work.

Printmaking and drawing exhibitions can be applied for from Jyväskylä Art Museum and photography exhibitions from the Centre for Creative Photography.

Submissions for Printmaking and Drawing Exhibitions

Jyväskylä Art Museum organizes 6-8 exhibitions per year. Each exhibition is programmed for 3 ½ weeks.

The application deadline for exhibitions in 2026 is April 30, 2025. The decisions will be made by the end of May.

The exhibition application should be sent by email and it should include following information:

•an exhibition project description and the proposed exhibition dates, 
•a portfolio of works, min. 5 works and a link to your website if possible, 
•curriculum vitae, 
•information about possible earlier stages of the exhibition.

There is no charge of the space. The artist is in charge of digital invitation, posters and optional refreshments at the opening. The commission fee is 10 %.

Submissions for Photography Exhibitions

The Centre for Creative Photography organizes 6-8 exhibitions each year at Galleria Ratamo. Each exhibition is programmed for 3 ½ weeks. The deadline for applications for exhibitions in 2026 is May 15, 2025

The Centre for Creative Photography covers the cost of printing and mailing invitation cards and press releases which are also sent to regional and national media. In addition, the Centre for Creative Photography organizes the opening of the exhibition with refreshments. The Centre for Creative Photography insures the artwork during the exhibition and its transportation within Finland. The commission fee is 25 % of sold art work.

The exhibition application should include following information in one pdf:

•an exhibition project description, the amount and size of the works (if possible) and the proposed exhibition dates, 
•a portfolio of works, min. 5 works and a link to your website if possible,
•curriculum vitae, 
•information about possible earlier stages of the exhibition.
