This course will immerse you in the creative world of cardboard printing! We will work with printing plates from recycled materials, such as juice and oat milk cans, which are easy to cut and shape to your own look. In the course, you will learn how to build a printing surface, print proofs by hand, and experiment with different materials and ways of expression. Cardboard printing offer surprising and expressive results – perfect for both first-time and more experienced artists who want to find a new, relaxed approach to graphics.
Sat 19.9.2026, 11am–4pm Woodcut

In the woodcut workshop you will get to know the woodcut technique. You carve the image onto plywood and print it onto paper. During the day we will go over the basics of the technique. Suitable for beginners and those who already know the technique. You can sketch the subject of the picture in advance, but you can also come without a plan.

Soft ground is a metal printmaking technique in which various textures can be transferred to a primed copper plate using a press, for example by using different plants and fabrics. Another option is drawing, then paper is placed on the primed plate, and an image is drawn on it. The copper is exposed at the points where the drawing is made, and the drawn lines are then etched into the copper.

Experimental printmaking workshop with sandpaper. Using sandpaper instead of a copper plate makes the mezzotint technique easier. By drawing on sandpaper with the medium, you can create beautiful tonal differences. Plate size: 13 x 10 cm.

In this course we will learn the basics of drypoint technique, from preparing the plate to drawing and proofing it. We will go through the entire process together. We will work slowly, so the course is especially suitable for beginners, but also for more experienced artists who want to review the basics of the technique. We will make an image on a copper plate (13 cm x 10 cm). You can make a finished sketch in this size.

In this course you will learn polyester lithography. You will learn the principles of lithography using a simple polyester plate technique. The course is intended for beginners and will take you step by step through the preparation, drawing and printing of the plate. The image size is 13cm x 10cm, just the right size for a finished sketch.
