Jyväskylä City Board

The city board is responsible for the practical running of local administration and its finances. It prepares issues that come before the council and functions as its representative.

The 13 members of the Jyväskylä city board are chosen by the city council for four years.

I Vice Chair of the City Board Ms Meri Lumela, Green League (VIHR)

The City Board has meetings every Monday except during general holiday seasons. The meetings are not open to the public.

Mayor

Subject to the city board, mayor is in charge of managing the operations of the city. Timo Koivisto was elected as the Mayor of the City of Jyväskylä for an eight year term by the City Council in November 2014 .
