City of Jyväskylä is about to change its regulation for the allotment areas. Please answer our survey and tell your opinion about the regulation draft for the allotment areas.

The City of Jyväskylä has about 380 allotments on seven different patch areas. The patches have in general the size of 100 m2. The allotment activities are going to be changed from 2021 on. The regulation draft related to the allotment areas was to be commentated until January 20th.

After having stopped receiving further commentaries, the feedback will be handled, and the regulations will be dealt with in the meeting of the City Construction Services Board on February 2nd 2021.

Changes in the activities of the allotment area have as a goal a harmonic view and an integrated activity culture there. All the growers should be treated similarly and equally, and it should be possible to grow perennial plants on the patches. Together with the changes, the supply of the irrigation water is improved on those patches where the water supply from the lake or elsewhere is not possible. From the year 2021 on, the reservations for the patches will be made via electronic booking service. In addition, it is also possible to run your errands by contacting the customer service.

Still in the year 2021, the growers of the year 2020 will be sent via mail information on the new growing season and given the instructions on the payment for the season 2021.
