Shared cars
There are three electric cars in Jyväskylä for shared use by city employees, residents and tourists.
The cars will be available to employees of the City of Jyväskylä's administrative quarter during office hours from 07:00 to 16:30. In the evenings and on weekends, cars can be rented by private individuals.
The two Volkswagen e-Up and one Nissan Leaf all-electric car can be found in the parking area of the City Hall, which has electric charging stations for cars. The address of the parking area is Vapaudenkatu 32, Jyväskylä. Rechargeable electricity in the City hall's parking area is 100% renewable.
Renting a car
The shared car service is provided by Omago Oy, which takes care of the cars and is responsible for renting them. Reservations and car door openings can be done using a browser-based mobile phone app. Registration for the service and booking a car is done at https://omago.fi/alueet/jyvaskyla, where additional information on the rental and Omago's user terms and conditions can be found (in finnish).
The rental price of cars is EUR 8 per hour or EUR 56 per day.
