Main library, 2nd floor

The Children's and Young Adults' Department is a place for learning and enjoyment. Whether you are looking for poetry, facts about the Vikings, music, comics or story books, we can help you! If you have to make a presentation, our staff will guide you in searching for information.

Staff

The staff at the library are just for you and you can always ask them for help!
The staff help you to find information on a subject you are interested in or when you want to find something nice to read. They also offer guidance on how to use the library and how to find material you are looking for or the shelves, where it can be found.

Story Time Sessions

Story Time Sessions are organised at the Main Library as well as at the library’s local branches. Children 3-6 years old are welcome to listen to tales and stories. At the Main Library, the Story Time Sessions are held in the fairytale room “Peukaloinen”, located in the Children’s Department. There are no Story Time Sessions during school holidays.

Listening to Stories and Music

There is a workstation in the Children’s and Young Adults' Department where customers can listen to stories and music.
