The lyrics written by vocalist Saara Siltala, and composed and arranged by the band, originated spontaneously during a rehearsal:
“We were improvising at our rehearsal space when suddenly Saara felt like having some pudding, and an interesting idea emerged. After a bit of development, we turned it into our first single, Vanukas!”
Sopimattomat is a band that, true to its name, does not fit into any mould. Originally rooted entirely in improvised music, the group is now pushing its boundaries by releasing its first single. At live shows, however, the band retains its unique approach: songs are often performed only once.
The single Vanukas was recorded, mixed and mastered by Teemu Liekkala. The producer of the track is Jyväskylä Rock Academy.

Jyväskylä Rock Academy
Jyväskylä Rock Academy provides professional and comprehensive guidance and coaching for young bands and artists. The programme began in autumn 2014, and since 2017 it has been part of the permanent operations of the City of Jyväskylä's Youth Services. The operating model of Jyväskylä Rock Academy has been adapted from Turku Rock Academy, which has been active since 2011 and is run by Turku Youth Services.
