TaidFest brings together multiple art forms in one event, inviting participants to explore them by creating, seeing and experiencing. This year’s programme includes a variety of instructor-led workshops from 15:30 to 18:30: UV resin jewellery, clothing upcycling, creative writing and graffiti.
The event also offers the chance to try VR gaming, make your own badges, take part in competitions, and contribute your own piece to TaidFest’s collaborative art exhibition.
Photo booth, mocktail bar, dance and rap
In addition, participants can enjoy a festival atmosphere at the festival makeup station, a cosy photo booth, and a mocktail bar serving non-alcoholic drinks. DJ Bonnie Tyler will set the mood throughout the day, and the dance group HOTPINK will also perform during the afternoon.
In the evening, rap music takes over the stage at Lutakko from 18:30 to 21:30, with six artists performing: JaniHoo & Betti, Diia, VainoV, Elen and Tokola666.
“TaidFest is created together with young people from the Nuorten taidetyöpaja, and we have a great team making this event possible. The programme offers a wonderfully diverse mix, with something familiar but also plenty of new experiences. A welcoming and warm atmosphere is guaranteed at TaidFest!” says event producer Silja Ojala.
TaidFest is organised by the City of Jyväskylä Youth Services.
