The Jyväskylä Youth Council decided to begin promoting a direct right of initiative at its meeting on 31 March

Matters discussed at the meeting:

• The Rauhafest event was discussed, and it was decided that the Youth Council will take part in it
• It was decided that the Youth Council’s spring trip will be made to Helsinki
• An initiative concerning the right to submit initiatives directly was discussed, and it was decided to begin promoting the matter during the 2026–2027 term
• The organisation of an LYK event (Child-Friendly Municipality) bringing together city decision-makers and young people was discussed.
• The “Nuva member of the month” was selected.
