Fourteen youth projects to be presented at the Youth Council’s summit meeting

The Youth Council of Jyväskylä will hold its annual project funding summit on Thursday, 19 March, at City Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The funding is intended for projects planned and carried out by young people living in Jyväskylä, supporting youth-led events, activities and initiatives.

The summit will prepare the Youth Council’s proposal for the allocation of €17,000 in project funding, which will be confirmed by the Director of Youth Services through an official decision. This year, 14 applications were submitted, with a total requested amount of €28,714.08.

According to Chair Esko Lehtonen, applications were received from a wide range of groups, including school student councils, hobby groups and informal groups of young people.

The Youth Council of Jyväskylä is a participation and influence body for young people aged 13–20. It is a non-partisan and non-religious body operating under the City Board, with its activities coordinated by the City of Jyväskylä’s youth services.
