Musical instruments belonging to Jukka Tolonen, Heikki Silvennoinen, Ville Valo, and Andy McCoy on display at the Veturitallit Jyväskylä Musamessut music fair on Saturday, October 4.
This free, substance-free and all ages event will also feature a significant collection of instruments as its main attraction, with the theme of Finnish legends and their tools. The fair will feature instruments personally used by Jukka Tolonen, Heikki Silvennoinen, Ville Valo, Andy McCoy, and others.
- Skilled musicians will play the instruments, as we have been able to get Teemu Viinikainen and Erkka Korhonen to demonstrate them, says youth worker Seppo Pohjolainen from Jyväskylä City Youth Services, adding:
- There will also be other clinics during the day, such as drummer Severi Sorjonen's drum clinic. The icing on the cake is the late Alexi Laiho's car (a 2000 Cadillac DeVille DHS).
The other driving force behind Veturitallit Musamessut is Elias Suhonen from Jyväskylä, who is known for his work with bands such as S.P.I.T and Face the Legacy.
- This year's fair once again has a lineup that is certainly on par with previous years. I think it's really great to be able to offer the public experiences that you don't see every day, Suhonen says with a smile.
- The fair has firmly established its place in the Veturitallit autumn programme, and we have been able to continue with the same high-quality content year after year, which is always our goal. Elias Suhonen and Seppo Pohjolainen invite everyone to come and experience something unique.
