New young representatives will be elected at the Jyväskylä Youth Council summit on Thursday

Representatives are present from the city's elementary schools, high schools, and vocational schools. In addition, candidates also apply for vacant positions on the youth council.

The Jyväskylä Youth Council, "Nuva", is a body for 13–21-year-olds that is required by municipal law and represents all young people in Jyväskylä. Youth council's goal is to improve young people's participation and develop their opportunities to influence matters. For example, the Youth Council issues statements and initiatives on youth issues and organizes and participates in various events.
