The City of Jyväskylä is discontinuing the use of the AaltoAlvari parking deck and parking garage

The lease agreement between the City of Jyväskylä and Suomen Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy regarding the use of the parking deck and parking garage of the AaltoAlvari aquatic center will end on June 30, 2025. Therefore, starting July 1, 2025, the three-hour free parking spaces on the asphalted parking deck and in the parking garage will no longer be available to swimming pool customers. 

Until now, the City of Jyväskylä and the University of Jyväskylä have leased the parking deck and the parking garage of AaltoAlvar from Suomen Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy for half of their parking use. The spaces rented by the University of Jyväskylä are still available to customers through the eParking parking application from 3 pm on weekdays and weekends. The City of Jyväskylä has no information about the continued use of the parking spaces rented by the city.    

Customers can continue to park free of charge in the four-hour parking disc parking lot next to AaltoAlvar. From Wednesday 6 August, users of AaltoAlvar and other nearby sports facilities will also be able to park in the area of the old baseball stadium in Hippos, which will be temporarily made available for free parking.
