Public transport arrangements in Säynätsalo due to the Louhunsalmi bridge damage

The Linkki service (lines 16 and 16M) in the direction of Säynätsalo runs according to the existing timetables, but does not run in Muuratsalo and Lehtisaari. In the direction of Jyväskylä city centre, the departure stop for Linkki buses is SS Säynätsalo 1. The final stop on the route from Jyväskylä is SS Säynätsalo 2. 

Nonstop taxis will cross the bridge from Monday 25.11.

From Muuratsalo and Lehtisaari, non-stop taxis will take passengers over the bridge to Linkki public transport stops from Monday 25 November. The non-stop taxi will follow the same route as the public transport buses on the islands.  You can get on and off the Nonstop taxi at the bus stops in Muuratsalo and Lehtisaari. 

There is no charge for the non-stop taxi service, and customers using public transport pay for their journey as normal when boarding the bus. Non-stop taxi services are available from 6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The time of the taxi service depends on the traffic situation on the bridge. 

After crossing the bridge, non-stop taxis will leave customers heading towards Jyväskylä city centre at the SS Säynätsalo 1 stop, from where they will continue their journey on the Linkki bus 16 or 16M towards Jyväskylä.

Customers arriving from Jyväskylä and travelling to the island will be picked up by a non-stop taxi at SS Säynätsalo 2, which is the current terminus of Linkki buses 16 and 16M.

Travelling to school 

From Monday 25 November, pupils living on the islands of Muuratsalo and Lehtisaari will be transported by shuttle across the bridge to the Link stop on the Säynätsalo side. From the bus stop, pupils can take Linkki buses to school in Keljonkanka.

Guardians have received more detailed instructions from the schools on how to get to school.
