Job seekers from Jyväskylä and Muurame will receive employment services from the City of Jyväskylä starting January 1, 2025

The TE Offices will be closed at the end of the year. All job seekers from Jyväskylä and Muurame will use their own municipality’s employment services starting next year.

As a job seeker, you do not need to do anything because of the change. Job seekers who previously dealt with the TE Office will be invited to handle their job seeking matters at the employment services in Jyväskylä or Muurame in the future. Job seekers’ job searches will remain valid. You should continue your job seeking according to your employment plan, as before. The specialist you are used to dealing with may change to another employee due to the transition. The TE Office phone numbers will cease to function. Job seekers will be contacted by the employment services as needed, for example, when scheduling a new appointment. 

You should be prepared for a slight delay in handling matters at the turn of the year. It is not advisable to visit the employment services in person during the first few days of the year unless necessary. Submit a contact request through the E-services

E-services on the Job Market Finland will continue to serve as the electronic service point. Changes in job search status, such as finding a job, starting studies, or retiring, should be reported online through the E-services.

All job seekers from Jyväskylä and Muurame can handle their job search matters at two different addresses starting January 1, 2025. In Jyväskylä, job seekers can visit Hannikaisenkatu 11-13 without an appointment. Services for non-Finnish speakers at International House Jyväskylä are located  also at Hannikaisenkatu 11–13. Job seekers from Muurame can visit either Jyväskylä or Muurame at Virastotie 8. Detailed opening hours for walk-in services can be found on the Jyväskylä Employment Services website.
