As a new part of the call for works, city of Jyväskylä is also launching a call for residency artists. The city is looking for two light artists to become acquainted with the city for the month of September and to produce site-specific, possibly community-engaging light art as part of the light festival during their residency. Artists are offered a free accommodation and travel costs, and max 3000 euros for materials, rental luminaires and other costs to build the artwork.

The selected artists can utilize Jyväskylä's history, areas, community, and other inspiring qualities in their work. One domestic and one foreign artist will be selected from the incoming applications.
