Jyväskylä Adult Education Centre's courses for autumn 2023 are now available on the website. Registration starts on 21 August.

A new hobby among 700 courses

The autumn selection is overflowing with both familiar groups and new courses. The language course selection varies in 19 languages, the Polish language returned to the list, and English is studied both as a group in a class and online by solving the mystery of the hunting lodge.

In the renovated facilities of Vaajakoski, the courses will continue again. With the new weekend courses, you can try making eco-paper as well as unleash your creativity with themed days for children and their adults. In Paloka's weekend courses, we bake Italian delicacies and try spinning. In the university building, you can get, for example, mental health first aid and learn about photography.

The selection has considered the enthusiasts' wishes, such as new Pilates groups starting in Muurame and poetry tours for babies. The familiar courses are in music and visual arts. There are courses for both beginners and those who have been doing it for a long time.

Registration starts in August

Registration for the courses starts on Monday, 21 August. Course offerings can be browsed both online and in the printed study guide. You can pick up the study guide from the beginning of August at your local library or shops.

During the summer, you can register online already for children's and youth art hobbies and basic art education at uusi.opistopalvelut.fi/jyvaskyla. Hobbies are available for 0–18-year-olds, including music, theatre, visual arts, verbal arts, and architecture.
