The youth event team, together with the cultural services and youth services of the city of Jyväskylä, organizes the TAIDFEST festivals for the second time in Lutakonaukio and Tanssisali Lutakko (Lutakonaukio 3, 40100 Jyväskylä) on the 20-21 June. The event area is open on Tuesday, 20 June, from 14:00 to 20:00, and on Wednesday, 21 June, from 14:00 to 22:00.

-The event organized for the first time last June garnered much praise from young people, and a similar festival was hoped for again. The visitors especially liked there is something to do for the summer and that you can participate in various workshops and activities for free, says Miia Lyyra, cultural producer of youth services.

During the two-day festival, you can try things like graffiti painting, macrame knotting, resin jewelry making, skateboarding and scootering, VR glasses, and karaoke for free. In addition, festival-goers can get a festival look at the event, where hair braids, party makeup, and nail polish are made, among other things. You can find out more about the program via the festival's website.

On Wednesday, several artists will take the Tanssisali Lutakko's stage

TAIDFEST culminates with music performances, where six musicians take the stage of Tanssisali Lutakko. During the evening, the crossover performances offer pop, rock, electronic music, and rap! The performers will be Pikku Kipinä, Prodigal, Khettu, CHAOTICPAIN, Junavaunuhäiriköt, and Øutline. The performance schedule will be published later.

For the TAIDFEST festival, the performers were selected through an open call. There were more than 20 applicants from all over central Finland, from which the event team chose the ones who would go on Lutakko's stage.

 - The choice was difficult because all the musical ensembles were really good! We couldn't offer all the applicants a concert at TAIDFEST, but maybe we'll see at least some of them during the autumn and next spring at the Jyväskylä Veturitallo gig nights, says Miia Lyyra.

TAIDFEST23 is a free and drug-free event aimed at young people in central Finland aged 13–29. The program and schedule can be found at:
