Help is available with coping with the concern caused by the situation. Discussion events for inhabitants with an Afghan background will continue over the autumn on Wednesday evenings, 5 pm to 7 pm, at Multicultural Centre Gloria, Matarankatu 6. Next week, 8 September from 5 pm to 7 pm, the event is especially directed for women. An event for children is also planned.

These discussion events are an opportunity to discuss, get advice, and get official, up-to-date information about issues such as opportunities for family reunification. Together, we can think up practical ways to help with the situation and with our own coping. The discussion is attended by mental health professionals and interpreters. The event is organized by the City of Jyväskylä and Multicultural Centre Gloria.

Appropriate safety instructions and guidelines for the current coronavirus situation will be observed.
