In the previous weeks, the number of new infections in Jyväskylä has been around 40-50. The decrease is not explained by the fact that fewer tests have been carried out than before. After Easter, significantly more corona samples were taken than in previous weeks (12-13), but only 1.1% of samples were positive. The incidence rate continued to fall, being 46.2 infections per 100,000 inhabitants. Just over 60% of the origin of infections was investigated. Jyväskylä is still in the accelerating phase of the coronavirus.
The city is starting to prepare its own exit plan
The City of Jyväskylä's Emergency Management Team discussed the city's own measures and the timetable for lifting coronavirus restrictions. On the basis of one week, no measures will be taken yet. If the infection situation remains low, the restrictions will be lifted in a controlled manner. The next review will take place on Monday 19 April and then the situation will be reviewed on a weekly basis.
