Jyväskylä is still in the spreading phase of the coronavirus. A total of 87 new cases of coronavirus infection have been diagnosed between Monday and Friday this week. The two-week incidence rate is 186.2 infections per 100 000 inhabitants.

The need for hospital care has not increased much in Jyväskylä. The number of people in quarantine this week, around 300 people, is significantly smaller than the previous week, when around 1,400 people were quarantined.

In order to normalise the day-to-day life of schools and break the quarantine cycle in schools, the city will take a break from sports activities for another week.
