The week will see students trying their hand at wellbeing bingo, new exercise routines, outdoor excursions and mindfulness exercises.

The programme will kick off with a wellbeing bingo challenge introduced by top Jyväskylä swimming talent Mimosa Jallow.  The wellbeing bingo is a chance for every participant to discover how their own eating, sleeping and exercise habits support their growth and development.

Monday’s programme will also include everyday exercise sessions and top tips on how to make break times more active, either by using your imagination or the OneMinuteSport app. On Tuesday, the pupils will be heading to the great outdoors, while on Wednesday they will be exploring the meaning of “resource smart” and all of Thursday has been set aside for mindfulness and balancing exercises.

On Friday, students will again head outside to discover the numerous outdoor sports facilities dotted around Jyväskylä. #BeActive outdoor exercise classes led by City of Jyväskylä sports staff will run at Pohjanlampi, Kotalampi and Tikkakoski. The classes all start at 12:30, and all residents from babies to seniors are welcome to take part. The half-hour classes will cater for a broad range of tastes and abilities with a focus on discovering the joy and energy of movement together.
