This public space for children and adults, called Seppä Högmanin puisto, invites visitors to relax on weatherproof hammocks with views of the Jyväsjärvi lakeshore, set down for a picnic on the grass or play outdoor games with friends.

The park is named after Jaakko Högman, a blacksmith (seppä) who moved to Jyväskylä in the late 18th century to work on the bell tower of the old chapel church.
