Jyväskylä’s rhododendron gardens in Mäyrämäki have burst into flower yet again.

How to find the Mäyrämäki park

The park is easy to get to by bike or Linkki services 12 and 27. For route and timetable information, visit the Linkki route map. See the location on the map. Please note that there is no visitor car park.

The gardens are always a particularly popular destination for walkers and photographers at this time of year.

The trails, complete with duckboards, are suitable for all the family, but not fully accessible for all visitors.

The rhododendron garden was first created in 1986 as part of a programme to breed rhododendrons suitable for the Finnish climate. In fact, Mäyrämäki Park is one of the first rhododendron gardens in Finland.
