The Craft Museum, the Museum of Central Finland and Jyväskylä Art Museum will reopen their doors on Wednesday, 3 June. The museums were closed on 17 March because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Because of the pandemic, extra care will still be needed at the museums. Therefore, the number of customers allowed in any of the museums at a time will be restricted to 50. Also, special attention will be paid to cleanliness. Hand disinfectants and gloves will be readily available. The guides will wear masks, and there will be plexiglass screens and “keep a distance” floor stickers at the customer desks. The museum and craftsmen’s homes of Toivola Old Courtyard will be opened at a later date, but the other smaller museums in the Jyväskylä region will remain closed over the summer.
