Customers can now use the Waltti Mobile app to buy Linkki public transport tickets (singe and day tickets) and to plan their journeys using the journey finder. The price of a single ticket is cheaper when bought through the app than from the driver. The app is free to download from the iOS or Android app stores.

Until now, local transport tickets have been available for purchase through the Linkki mobile ticketing app. Customers can continue suing the Linkki app as before or switch to the new Waltti app.

How to buy, pay for and check the Waltti ticket

Purchase a mobile ticket from Waltti just before you start your journey. You can pay by card (Visa, Visa Electron or Mastercard) that has been linked to the app and activated for online payments. Buy a ticket for all zones that you travel through. For example, if you are travelling from Laukaa to Jyväskylä city centre, you will need a ticket for zones ABC.

Make sure you have selected the correct ticket, as once approved, the purchase can no longer be cancelled. Show your mobile ticket on your phone to the driver at the start of your journey. In the near future, Linkki card readers will be able to scan the QR code on the mobile ticket.

You can travel with the mobile ticket only on Linkki services 1–13 and 14–42 in Jyväskylä, Laukaa and Muurame.
