Future construction will focus on sites adjacent to the existing developed areas. Additionally, the slopes and the surroundings of the ski jump will be developed to provide for adventure activities.
The plan includes investment possibilities for the city, companies as well as investors. Overall, the plan allows investments worth of 10 million euros in the area.
The extensive natural areas and Lake Tuomiojärvi with its trails will contribute to recreational uses and sports tourism. Accommodation capacity will also be increased in tandem with the activities.
The Laajavuori district will be developed in compliance with the sports capital concept together with the Hippos district. The plan is to create a diverse training and competition venue by providing a testing environment for national teams.
See the plan on the web pages of the Laajavuori development project (in Finnish).
