OUR Urban Environment

The city of Jyväskylä's architecture, a green environment and public participation policy, OUR Urban Environment, provides local aims regarding building activities and the environment and guides the planning practices applying to these. The policy principles include sustainable and interesting building activities, healthy residents and cosy environment. Read more about principle guidelines (pdf).
New procedures are being developed and utilised in the urban planning in accordance with the OUR Urban Environment policy. 

The OUR Urban Environment recognition

The City of Jyväskylä organises an annual cooperation forum in the field of building on current affairs. The forum is aimed at the representatives of building firms and real estate developers along with planning offices of architectural and environmental building activities. During this forum, The OUR Urban Environment recognition shall be awarded to an achievement, a party, a project or a person enhancing the attractive and sustainable building activities or cosy environment.
