Guided Tours in Art Museum

Visitors can take part in guided tours of the exhibitions.

• Public guided tours are usually included in the museum entrance fee
• Private, pre-booked group tours are subject to a fee.
• Pre-booked tours for school pupils and students are free of charge from Tuesday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm.

• in Finnish
• in English
• as audio-described tours

Booking and Cancellation

Guided tours must be booked in advance.

Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled tour.

The guide arrives 15 minutes before the agreed start time.

The guide will wait for the group for up to 30 minutes after the scheduled starting time. If the group wishes the guide to wait longer, an additional waiting fee will be charged. The guide can only wait longer if they have no other commitments.

If a tour is not cancelled in time, the agreed fee will be charged even if the group does not attend.

Group Size

The recommended maximum group size for a guided tour is 25 participants.

The recommended maximum group size for a workshop is 20 participants.

If your group is larger, two guides can be arranged.

Cultural Companion Service (Kulttuuriluotsi)

You can request a Cultural Companion to join you on a museum or exhibition visit.

A Cultural Companion is not a guide. Instead, they provide company during the visit. You can discuss the exhibition and share your thoughts and impressions with them.

• Museum visits with a Cultural Companion are free of charge for groups of fewer than five people.
• Anyone can book a Cultural Companion for themselves or for another person, such as a friend, family member, or client.
