Feb 23 – Mar 27 Holvi, The Lower Gallery

Live Herring ’11 will take place in spring 2011 in Central Finland. This project is a series of exhibitions and events focused on (new)media art, organized by the Live Herring group.

The main events are three exhibitions: In Unreality an exhibition based on digitally created images at the Keuruu Museum, the exhibition Text | Sound | Technology | Information is based on different kinds of projects and performances at the Jyväskylä Art Museum and finally the main exhibition Please participate! curated by Tomi Knuutila at the Saarijärvi Museum.

In addition there will be smaller exhibitions and several events, such as performances and workshops, which will also be organised outside traditional exhibition surroundings, such as in public places, schools, retirement homes etc. Part of our mission is to show media art outside urban centres – in smaller places where media art is still a stranger!
