Event City

The City of Jyväskylä turns 188 years old on Saturday 22rd of March 2025, with a varied programme of events and festivities! This year the celebrations will be spread over two weeks. Most of the programme will take place the week before the birthday. The celebrations will continue after the birthday, when on Wednesday 26 March, the fifth-graders' own party will take over at the Paviljonki.

Jyväskylä is a lively city for international meetings, conferences and congresses.

The route of Secto Rally Finland, the Finland Round of WRC, is drawn each year along the winding rural roads of Central Finland. The route team of the event continues to pull out new surprises year after year, and we are excited to present the 2025 edition!

The City of Jyväskylä presented the 2024 Congress and Event Awards on 4 February 2025 at an event held at the Harmooni Restaurant.
