Event City

Jyväskylä was the fifth most popular conference city in the 2025 national statistics. A total of 39 international scientific meetings, conferences, and congresses were held, attracting 3,988 participants to the city. They were mainly held at the University of Jyväskylä and aimed to share scientific research data and strengthen international scientific networks.

The City of Jyväskylä presented its 2025 conference and event awards at an event held at Sataman Viilu on January 28.

A new visitor study confirms that the impact of Finland’s FIA World Rally Championship event, Secto Rally Finland, on the Central Finland region continues on a steady upward trajectory. The rally is held each year on the iconic gravel stages of Central Finland, with Jyväskylä serving as the event’s host city.

The City of Jyväskylä, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team (TGR-WRT) and Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) towards future collaboration, aiming to achieve a carbon neutral, sustainable and diversified society through community development in harmony with people and nature.
