The City of Jyväskylä provides information, advice, and coaching for all Jyväskylä residents planning to start a business through the services of Keski-Suomen Yritysidea. The service is confidential and free of charge. The services include support and guidance in developing business ideas, training in preparing business plans and financial calculations, and advice and guidance in starting a business.

Incubation Services

Jyväskylä is also home to the Startup Factory, which coaches successful growth companies. The Startup Factory is an incubator where the best early-stage business ideas are turned into successful companies in cooperation with educational institutions. Yritystehdas is an in-house company owned by the City of Jyväskylä, the University of Jyväskylä, and the JAMK University of Applied Sciences.
