Since the beginning of 2013, the Municipality of Laukaa has been responsible for the rural services administration of the City of Jyväskylä through the so-called host municipality model.
The cooperation area consist of the following municipalities:
- Hankasalmi
- Joutsa
- Jyväskylä
- Laukaa
- Luhanka
- Muurame
- Toivakka
- Uurainen
