Multilingual guidance and counseling
Multilingual guidance and counseling is a multilingual service point, where you can get guidance and counseling on topics related to everyday living. This service supports the integration of immigrants living in Jyväskylä (including those planning to move there) in as early of a stage as possible. The services are confidential and free for everyone.
Our doors are open from 9—15.30, Mon-Fri. Services are available on a walk-in basis (no need to make an appointment) from 12—14, Mon-Fri. You can check the service languages for different days.
The address is Hannikaisenkatu 11—13, 40100 Jyväskylä.
You can get guidance and advice in different languages, on matters such as:
- residence permits
- citizenship and social security services
- leisure activities, hobbies
- housing
- other everyday matters
Multilingual guidance and counseling provides services to everyone living in Jyväskylä, regardless of the person’s background or reason for coming to Finland. The objective of this service is to support the integration of internationals by providing information and counseling as early as possible and by directing the clients to the relevant services.

You can get service in English and Finnish without an appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00-15:30, and from Wednesday to Friday from 09:00-15:30 at the lobby service point.
